    Senior Pastor Paul Boling

I’m a second-generation minister in the Christian Church Disciples of Christ.

I moved to Alaska with my sons Sam & James in 2008.

One of my passions is making scripture relevant in meaningful worship services. I like people and seek to accept others wherever they are in their faith journey. I’m active in social justice locally, serve on AK Child & Family’s board, and am a member of the Anchorage Interfaith Council. I invite you to visit us at First Christian Church.

Associate Pastor Dave Boling

Hello I'm Dave, Associate Minister at First Christian Church of Anchorage. I'm a graduate of Northwest Christian University, Phillips Graduate School of Theology, and have 2 years of Clinical Pastoral Education through Providence Medical Center. I've previously served churches in Oregon, Oklahoma and Missouri. I enjoy music ministry and working with people of all ages.

It’s my pleasure to serve this congregation with Brother Paul. We are a very friendly church that has a relaxed, blended worship style with traditional and contemporary music; come join us on Sundays at 10:30am.

 Anchorage First Christian Church

Identity Statement of The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada

“We are Disciples of Christ, a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. As part of the one body of Christ we welcome all to the Lord’s Table as God has welcomed us.”

Vision Statement

First Christian Church of Anchorage is a diverse, inclusive faith community providing a living witness to the compassionate Christ.

From our convenient location in midtown Anchorage, we seek out, develop and support ministries to meet humanity’s need for physical and spiritual wholeness.

On the basis of our Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) heritage, we embrace the ecumenical movement, develop lay leadership, and promote intellectual freedom in the pursuit of Truth.

Everyone is welcome to join us for Sunday Worship at 10:30am.

We practice equality.  Women and men participate equally in the leadership of this church. We have weekly communion that is open to everyone. We practice adult baptism by immersion and honor all baptisms. We support Interfaith dialog and cooperation. “We honor intellectual freedom; therefore, we do not support any particular political party. We encourage our members to apply Christ’s examples of love and compassion in their daily life.”

Each Sunday before Worship begins we have Announcements that are shown via Powerpoint slide show on a large screen above the podium;  which also includes the latest news shared by the congregation. The video below is an example of Announcements in the month of June 2014. Turn your sound on./span>
